Find the ideal washing machine for you
AN APPLIANCE THAT SUITS YOUR NEEDS
When you are about to invest in a new washing machine that best suits your lifestyle and needs – there is a lot of factors to consider. The location and space available, the different types of fabrics you care for and how many washes you do per week all influence which washing machine you should choose. Below you will find our simple buying guide that is going to help you find the right washer for you.
SPACE & LOCATION
Whether you go for a freestanding washer, or one that's built-in behind a cabinet to fit in with your kitchen or laundry room theme, you need to make sure that the appliance will fit.
How much room do you have?
60 - 48cm width – we recommend a front-loading washer
48 - 34cm width – a slim front-loading washer will fit in this space
45 - 40cm width – consider a top loading washer
Top-tip: If you have a small laundry room, consider purchasing a 2-in-1 washer dryer combo. Good to know if you would like to stack a dryer on top is to choose a front loading washing machine.
How many times a week do you run your washing machine?
Less than 4 times a week – a 5-6 kg washer will be sufficient unless you often wash large items like jackets and duvets
4-6 times a week – a 7 kg washer will suit your needs perfectly
6+ times a week – reduce your number of washes by simply selecting a machine with a large capacity (8+ kg)
TIME & CONVENIENCE
When do you do your laundry?
Select a machine with time-delay so you can delay the start of your cycle to a time that suits you: late at night or early in the morning for cheaper energy bills.
Do you want to control your washing machine remotely?
It has never been easier to control your washing machine from a distance. Choose a connected washing machine that you can control directly via your own smartphone.
How do you dry your clothes?
Choose a washing machine with a fast spin cycle for shorter drying times. The quicker your clothes spin in the wash cycle, the more moisture is spun out and the less drying they’ll need.
Top-tip: Do not forget to set a slower spin cycle for your delicate clothes and garments to make them stay in shape for longer.
