Below you’ll find the simple steps needed to connect your washing machine, tumble dryer or washer dryer to our My AEG Care app. The app will provide you with smart support, laundry tips and suggestions, and will improve your allover laundry experience.
What you’ll need
1. Wireless network with internet connection
2. Mobile device connected to your wireless network
Please note: Only 2.4GHz networks are supported. If you have more than one home network, your appliance and mobile device will need to be connected to the same one (2.4GHz).
How to connect
Your product may have a QR code on the rim of the appliance door. If you find a QR code there, follow the steps in the first section below. If not, scroll further down and follow the steps to connect manually instead.
Option 1: Connect your appliance using QR code
1. Scan the QR code to download our My AEG Care app
Scan the QR code on the rim of the appliance door with the camera on your mobile device. You will be redirected to the My AEG Care app in the app store. Follow the instructions on your mobile device to install the app. After this is done, create an account or log in using the same details you used to create an account on aeg.co.uk.
2. Turn on your appliance and its Wi-Fi
Make sure your appliance is turned on, and remote start is enabled. Consult your user manual if needed to enable remote start.
3. Scan the QR code again with the app’s scanner
Within the app, select your appliance type and make sure that the required permissions are allowed. Then scan the QR code again, this time using the My AEG Care app, and connect the appliance to your network within the app. Give your product a name within the app to complete the process.

Option 2: Connect your appliance manually
1. Download our app and log in
Install the My AEG Care app, create an account or log in using the same details you used to create an account on aeg.co.uk.
2. Turn on your appliance and its Wi-Fi
Turn on your appliance, and activate Bluetooth and/or Wi-Fi. Also, check that Bluetooth is activated on your phone and that you are connected to your home Wi-Fi.
3. Connect your phone to the appliance Wi-Fi
Within the My AEG Care app, select your appliance type and connect it to your home network. Connect your phone to your appliance using either Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
4. Connect your appliance to your home Wi-Fi
Within the app, you’ll be prompted to connect your appliance to your home Wi-Fi credentials.
- Find your home Wi-Fi and enter your password
- Wait for the connection. It may take up to one minute
- Give your appliance a name within the app
