Last updated 08/09/2023 06:42

Issue

  • Insufficient suction power of the vacuum cleaner
  • The vacuum cleaner switches-off during use

Applies to

  • vacuum cleaners with bag

Resolution

1. Replace the dust bag.

Whether the bag needs to be changed is indicated by a visual indicator on the vacuum cleaner's control panel.

Replace the s-bag when

- P* Models with rotary knob: S-BAG indicator lights up in red

- Q* Models with remote control: S-BAG symbol lights up red.

- R* Models with remote control and AUTO: S-BAG indicator lights up in red (green light: bag is OK - no change needed, yellow light: soon time to replace bag).

Note:

Always change the s-bag when S-BAG indicator is illuminated or has red light even if the s-bag is not full (it may be blocked) and after using carpet cleaning powder.

Refer to the user manual on how to change the S-bag in your specific model.

2. Clean or replace all filters (HEPA filter and motor filter).

Replace / clean the motor filter when dirty or every fifth bag change.

Some models indicate the need to replace / clean the filter using the icon on the control panel.

Refer to the user manual on how to change the filters in your specific model.

3. Remove the hose and check that it is unobstructed.

A good way to do this is to put a coin in one end of the hose and see if it rolls over and comes out the other side of the hose.

Remove a possible blockage using e.g. a broomstick

4 . Check that the floor nozzle is not clogged / the rotating brush can rotate freely.

Disconnect the nozzle from the tube. Clean with the hose handle.

Cleaning the turbo nozzle - Disconnect the nozzle from the tube and remove entangled threads etc. by snipping them away with scissors. Use the hose handle to clean the nozzle.
