Just What I Wanted

by Labrador on 01 July 2020

Although I haven't used all the options for the oven yet I have had excellent success with my yorkshire puddings and with roast beef. Baking has also been good, no over browned bottoms. Just have to remeber that the main oven had two control nobs.I like the control nobs as I can set at exactly the position I need as they are very smooth to use, e.g. 2.5 rather that either 2 or 3. Gives a much more precise heat. At the moment setting the timer is a bit of a hassle but will get used to it in time. I also like the fact that one of the rings is multi sized. Very useful for a larger pan or if you only want a third small ring.
Just before lockdown I went to two big retailers to view cookers and the AEG models gave me what I was needing.
Yes a bit pricier that some models, but a good solid cooker and I am very pleased with it.
The 5 year guarantee is also very welcome.

Poor start

by Dacs on 13 January 2020

Very unimpressed when the top oven of cooker broke down as it was being installed. The engineer who visited us was surprised that both elements in top oven had failed; he was more used to the elements in the bottom Oven failing (not a good recommendation). Really poor service support, as the saying goes the ‘left hand didn’t know what the right hand was doing’. Evenhanded new cooker was sent out with which we have, currently no problems. It is as god cooker when it works.
