I have finally given up on gas after my previous oven failed and I set on an induction hob and double oven. This AEG fit the bill and the added Steam Bake function looked like it would add an welcome extra feature to aid in our desire to cook and bake more fresh food at home. So far the cakes have been outstanding, even crusts and moist throughout. The induction hob is a joy to use and thankfully most of my decent pans are useable, with a some new frying pans on the cards, as the one I have are a bit too lightweight. Cleaning may be easy but it is going to a constant task due to all the stainless steel, however, it does look stunning. The egdes around the clock display and hob are a bit of a pain for collecting bits too. Grilling with the door shut is a new experience, and having smoke from burnt fat the first time I cooked burgers come up from the vents was distrurbing, but I cannot argue with the results. The main oven is very spacious and I love the slide out rails, it is shame you only get one pair as standard, as it makes checking cakes or picking up dishes/trays so much easier. I aslo like the fact that the doors feel well made, yet are easy to open/close and stay in the position you leave them in. I will be a very happy man if this cooker gives me as many years service as my previous one.
