I bought this appliance last year and thought the idea of the food remaining still while the bit producing the microwaves rotates out of sight was a good one. AEG claim in the advertising that it cooks evenly, a blatant lie as it does not. Failing to get reasonable results I went back to the retailer and was told that it is just different to a normal microwave, you have to keep opening the door and rotating the food by hand. I tested the evenness of cooking by placing ice cubes in small containers and evenly spacing the around what should be the cooking area in the centre. Some were boiling before others had melted and that is what it does with food. Half burned and half frozen. I also agree with other reviews that the dial for settings is impossible to read when it is mounted above an oven. I have a list of the settings at the side and count the clicks for the function I want.

If you are still covered under the two years manufactured warranty we would strongly advise contacting our consumer care department on 03445 612 612 and have them arrange for an engineer to inspect and potentially repair this appliance for you.
However if your appliance has now exceeded the manufactured warranty and you feel as though this appliance is not fit for purpose we can only recommend speaking again with your retailer and under your consumer rights act they can make the commercial decision to either repair, replace or refund you the cost you have paid for your appliance.
