We bought this extractor to replace an AEG Chimney Hood which lasted for about 10 years. It is very similar, three fan settings, lights, extracting the air outside. I know some people have complained about the noise but we found that that getting something much quieter would cost more money - so you have a choice. Settings 1 and 2 are normally adequate. Setting 3 is quite noisy but we use it infrequently. On our previous model the lights were one on each side half way down. On this model the lights are at the back, which we think is not as helpful. It was very easy to install. Overall a good value buy which we hope will last us a long time.
