I purchased the previous model of extractor (X91484mi10) approximately 4 years ago and have been very happy with it. My kitchen has been remodelled and I found that the only way to re-use my extractor was to fit the re-cycling kit. Easy, I thought, I'll contact AEG and buy a recycling kit from them (KITISLAND). Imagine my surprise when I was told by AEG that this kit was no longer available. Not only that, but there's no availability ANYWHERE.
I am still fuming that I have purchased a top of the range item and three years down the line I cannot purchase spares for it from the manufacturer.
It now seems inevitable that I will have to purchase another extractor but guess who I WON'T be purchasing it from?. If you do buy products from AEG beware, you may not get the aftersales support that you thought you were entitled to.

We are sorry for the inconvenience you have incurred with the search of the filter for the cooker hood.
As a manufacturer it is a requirement that we are able to continue supply parts for six years after a models initial manufacture.
If there is no demand for a part then it is only logical that we discontinue the manufacture of any such part.
We can appreciate the frustration this may add to your specific situation, and for this we must apologise. please also be informed that the manufacturer cannot continue to produce parts for an indefinite period of time.
