You pay a premium to get a black surface with no markings, as you find on other induction hobs. Despite paying this premium you get less features than other AEG hobs that have markings (e.g. permanent element locations).

Due to there being no manufactured fault with your appliance, we can only advise you to speak with your retailer as they can make the commercial decision under your consumer rights act to either replace or refund you the cost you have paid for your appliance.
