Add steam for better baking

In addition to all your standard oven functions, the PlusSteam button in this SteamBake oven adds steam at the beginning of the baking process. The steam cooking keeps the dough moist on the surface to create a golden color and tasty crust, while the heart stays soft and tender. In addition to baking crispy and tasty breads, muffins and pies - your roasted chicken, grilled spare ribs and lasagna will get equally delicious and even cooking results.

A natural clean with steam

Cleaning after cooking needn't be a chore. Humidity inside the oven creates steam to loosen otherwise stubborn grease and residue left on its surfaces. So you can achieve a natural clean, effortlessly.

When using the grill the cooling fan is very noisy. Control button for functions is too complicated

Good multifunctional oven

I bought this oven to replace my ageing AEG Competence oven and I am pleased that I did. I like the flexibility of choice between a conventional and fan oven to suit different dishes which are cooked efficiently. I have also tried out the pizza function and turbo grill - the latter is more useful to me at the moment. The shelves have a better design than my previous oven as the edges turn up to prevent dishes sliding off. The only thing I miss is the push button facility for setting the time - turning the knob seems to take forever to get to the time required. However, I welcome the greater flexibility of temperature graduation in 5 degree intervals - ideal for giving a final boost at the near end of cooking.

Hello Freda, thank you for your review and your repeat custom, it's nice to read what our customers think of our previous models compared to the newer versions. I'm delighted to read how much you've been using the different functions , it really does help you cook different meals in most appropriate way to get great results.

You're absolutely correct, we have indeed altered the shelf design after feedback from our customers, however you can still achieve the flat shelf setup by turning your shelf upside down. Your oven also has the SteamBake feature which is for achieving great baking results. Pour up to 300ml of water into the base of the oven, select the SteamBake function on the dial, select your temperature and press the SteamBake button on the right hand side of the control panel. You'll achieve beautiful golden crusts on your fluffy bread, but if you prefer cake baking, sponge cakes are even more delicious when using steam.
