I love our ovens; we bought two. The functionality and performance have reached or exceeded our expectations with one significant exception. We have the two ovens, installed in tower layout; ie one above the other so that the lower one involves only slight bending to use and the upper one is a little lower than chest height for a 5ft 7” person. The display of the upper oven is therefore above eye-level and barely readable in all but a darkened room as the viewing angle capability is not wide enough. How ridiculous. 20 years ago that may have been acceptable but it’s 2020. Wide viewing angles are common but not it seems on AEG ovens. We had an engineer to check there was no fault. We can’t change the layout if our newly fitted kitchen so it seems that to read the upper display, with the brightest setting available and with certainty of detail, we have to stand on a step or darken the room. What a pity!
Quality piece of kit with one major flaw
