Unreliable
Within a few months of purchase in August 2020 it started to make a loud noise like a hammer drill. In the height of covid in the winter we were reluctant to have an engineer call and found that if it was turned off for about 12 hours it would be ok for several weeks. Eventually there was no more noise and it stopped working. Luckily we still had a chest freezer while we waited almost a month to get it repaired. A new compressor was fitted. Two months later and the noise started again, this time the fan was found to have iced up. The experience we have had with this freezer is worrying and I don’t feel confident that it won’t break down again in a few months time.
