Seared Tuna Steaks


  • Ingredients

                     Squirt of Wasabi

                     4 tbsp Soy Sauce

                     1 Lime

                     4 tbsp honey

                     Bunch of coriander

                     1 Red Chilli

                     2 Spring onions

                     Box of sushi rice

                     Rice vinegar




11.  Wash the Sushi Rice 5 times, then bring to the boil in half water, half coconut milk, cover and then simmer. Do not stir or burn. Set a timer for 11 minutes, when it’s finished keep the lid on.

22. Then add a pinch of salt and sugar and the rice vinegar. Shape into portions.

33. In a separate bowl, mix the soy sauce, honey, a squirt of wasabi to your taste, and squeeze of lime.

44. Oil and season the tuna steaks. Place on either a red-hot pan or plancha grill for 15 seconds on each side.

55. Garnish with the dressing. Then finish with coriander, chilli, and spring onion.
