AEG Extractor Hob

Considerations before buying

In order to make your search for an Induction Hob with Extractor (also called Air Venting Induction Hobs) easy, we’ve put together a comprehensive and useful list of helpful information, so that you can make sure you buy the right appliance, with the right features, for your kitchen.

Kitchen Planning Freedom

Extractor Hobs offer kitchen planning freedom. Now you can plan your kitchen exactly as you dreamed it, without needing to consider the placement of a cooker hood. Install your Extractor Hob in an island or peninsula, so you can easily socialize with your guests, install it in front of a window so you can enjoy the view of the garden, or if you need to save space, install it in front of a wall and use the overhead cupboard for storage. The possibilities are endless.

Space under the Extractor Hob

With an AEG Extractor Hob, you can fit a full depth drawer under the Extractor Hob, meaning more space for your bulky utensil or even pots and pans. An Extractor Hob can be installed in worktops starting with 4 mm.

Best In Class Installation

AEG Extractor Hobs are easy and quick to install. We even offer a no piping solution when installing an Extractor Hob in recirculation mode. This means that no piping is visible, and the air circulates within the cabinet. Thanks to our innovative filtering system, the moisture is captured meaning there is no risk of condensation that could damage your furniture.

What does Recirculation or Exhaust installation mean?

When installing an Extractor Hob in Recirculation mode, the air circulates within the cabinet. When installing an Extractor Hob in exhaust mode, you need a hole in the wall so the filtered air can escape outdoors.

  • Recirculation Benefits

    • A more sustainable solution because less air goes out into the environment

    • Hardly any energy loss due to the discharge of warm indoor air through the extractor over a long period of time

    • No piping option

    • No additional structural work required (no need to break through the walls)

  • Exhaust Benefits

    • High airflow rate

    • High effectiveness at low extractor settings

    • No additional cost for active carbon filters

2-in-1 Filters for recirculation mode

The 2-in-1 Filter combines both a charcoal and grease filter that removes odours and grease. If the appliance is installed in recirculation mode, then a 2-in-1 filter is needed.

Grease Filters for exhaust mode

The Grease Filter helps to remove grease from your kitchen air. A Grease Filter is used when the appliance is installed in exhaust mode.

Cleaning 2-in-1 Filters

Every day cleaning- less than 100 hours usage:

If you are cleaning the filters before you receive a notification (a notification is sent after 100 hours of usage), then you should rinse the filters with hot water. Do not use detergent. If needed, use a soft sponge to remove grease build up. Once rinsed, place the filters in the oven at a maximum temperature of 60°C for a maximum time of 15 minutes.

Time to regenerate- more than 100 hours usage:

After 100 hours of usage, you will receive a notification to clean the filter. Place the filters in the dishwasher without detergent, and without any other dishes. The chosen dishwashing cycle should be between 65-70°C. Once cleaned, place the filters in the oven at a temperature of 80°C – max 110°C for approximately 1 hour. A 2-in-1 Filter can be regenerated up to 8 times before it needs to be replaced.

Cleaning Grease Filters

A Grease Filter can be rinsed manually with hot water and detergent, or placed in the dishwasher with detergent. A Grease Filter can be cleaned as many times as you like without needing to be replaced.
