Steam adds moisture during cooking, which can help reduce drying out in selected foods such as fish, meat and vegetables. It can also be useful for baking, depending on the recipe, programme and cooking settings used.

Selected AEG steam ovens include SteamCrisp. Steam helps transfer heat, while locking in flavour. SteamCrisp® combines steam and heat throughout the cooking process, helping food stay crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
Some models also offer dedicated steam programmes and assisted cooking options, available on the oven display or through the AEG app, to help guide you through selected steam recipes.
